Great spot for brunch!! Great cocktails and great food! Our server was attentive and quick! Highly recommend!
Husband and I were in Chattanooga to attend an event as an early birthday celebration for a couple of nights, and we'd heard good things about Hello Monty. Right off the bat, we enjoyed our experience so much the first night that we came back the next day. We were there early evening on a Thursday and a Friday. We made reservations both times, but we didn't need them. When we arrived each time, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The first night, we'd indicated on the reservation that it was my birthday and the hostess let me know that they would like to treat me to a complimentary dessert. During our first visit, the crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer caught my attention and my husband was eyeing the house flatbread with garlic oil and romesco. When the Brussels sprouts came, our jaws dropped. The serving was much bigger than we expected! Definitely enough for more than two people to share. They were crisped to perfection and not bitter at all. Husband really enjoyed the flatbread (so much that he ordered it again the next day). For our entrees, he got the half chicken, which is charcoal roasted and comes with curry sauce, jasmine rice and garlic oil. I ordered the house salad because I was so full from the appetizers. The portions of the entrees were also huge! I couldn't finish the entire salad. Because we were taking the dessert to go, we went with the moon pie cheesecake for dessert. Also, a humongous portion. We weren't sure about it because we don't love moon pies, but we were very pleasantly surprised! It was delicious. I believe it's a seasonal option though. When we came the next day, we knew we wanted something light and simple and probably could've gone elsewhere for something similar, but we just knew that we wouldn't be disappointed here. Again, my husband ordered the house flatbread and we also ordered a side of fire roasted broccoli (minus the sesame) with chili oil and Parmesan dressing. We each ordered a half Caesar salad, mine with salmon and his with chicken. The portion of the half salad with the addition of the appetizer and side were perfect. We had just enough to eat before our event without being stuffed, and everything was cooked so well. We especially loved the broccoli! The decor is simple yet kind of modern, lights dim at night, warm and inviting, perfect for a date or an outing with friends. Service was kind and attentive. Our waiters were friendly and ready to answer questions and share their opinion on what to order. All in all, we highly recommend!
Hello Monty is such a gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a nice menu variety that has something for everyone. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food? Absolutely tasty! I stopped in with a friend and enjoyed a couple of apps and drinks. Everything came out quickly, which was a pleasant surprise, it's always nice when great food doesn't keep you waiting. One feature I really loved was the open kitchen with glass walls. Being able to see the chefs at work added such a fun and unique vibe to the experience--it's like getting a behind-the-scenes peek at your meal being made. All in all, a great spot for good food, good drinks, and good vibes. I'll definitely be back! What we ordered (& from most to least favorite): Blistered Tomato Toast, Brat Skewers, Cast Iron Cheese Dip
Ate at 4:30pm on a Wednesday. Made reservations but not needed for that time. We got seated right away, put in an order for the crispy Brussels and was served within 5 min! We'd give the Brussels a 5!! Our server Kat was awesome and helpful. Sat us at a booth so we could watch the cooks prepare the food and it was interesting! Ordered: the Caesar salad with yummy house dressing! Broccoli-can't wait to get that again, it was so flavorful!! Mashed/loaded potatoes so creamy and loaded! Crispy fries-very crispy and had a spicy mayo, would be great with the burger which we will try next time. We split the salmon which had such a wonderful sauce/flavor. Paired with blanched cabbage-you'd have to like cabbage to appreciate this pairing (we do). Everything was prepared so well in their ovens from Germany and seasoned perfectly. We observed the cooks cleaning often. We had fresh brewed coffee and the raspberry jam parfait (it was lite) I would give it a 3 rating. But because it was my husbands bday she didn't charge us for it. It appears that they make some of their own brews there. There's a nice bar area with a tv. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms.
Forrest M. is always an amazing server! Ambiance, food and drink are all great :) Thank you for having us and the pups!
My wife and I dined here on a weekend evening and had a reservation. It was 1/2 full when we arrived and around same when we'd exited around 8:00 or 8:30. Staff and service were great. Ambiance was solid. Some families with young kids around but noise wasn't an issue. We'd already been snacking as we went around town so we were really just focused on quality over quantity in terms of the food we'd ordered. We shared some crispy Brussels Sprouts and the pork chop entree. Both were great, and quantity was certainly not an issue with the sprouts. The pork chop had a really nice char to it but was bone-in and still very moist and delicious. Our first time visiting and will definitely go again.
We made a reservation for Hello Monty same day for a Friday evening. Good thing we did as they turned walk ins away. The space is cute and comfy and the wood was wonderful. The fried Brussels were perfect and enough reason to come back again. The half chicken and fire roasted broccoli were delightful as well. The carrots stole the show and how often does that happen!? The featured wines were just the cherry on top of a lovely evening. We will be back!
We've heard this is more of a brunch spot, but were extremely pleased with our experience. We enjoyed a few apps (roasted broccoli, fried Brussels, & cheese dip) immensely. Service was 10 stars out of 5.
Great little place kinda tucked away off Main Street. The entire is small and cozy with tables spread out just enough so you're not right in top of each other. We were greeted quickly by our server and a carafe of water was placed on the table immediately. The menu is on the smaller side, but still enough to make most people in your group happy. Like another reviewer mentioned, prices are slightly higher than what I was expecting, but the food is excellent!
